IN AID OF THE DISTRICT LEVEL ATHLETIC MEET NOVENBER 2012
AN APPEAL
 
            George F.Will says, “Sports and Games serve society by providing vivid examples of excellence”.
     21st Century education does not only focus on academics but also on curricular and co-curricular activities.  Games and Sports form on such activity which signifies the alround personality of a child.  Schools and Colleges provide a forum for the promotion of sports and games.  These are organized and conducted at various Inter-School, Inter-School, Taluk District, State, National and International games.

            The Department of Education entrusts schools to conduct these games/sports.  This year Urwa Parish Schools, (St.Aloysius Kannada Primary School, Pompei High School, St. Aloysius English Medium School) are given the task to host the District Level Athletic Meet in the month of November 2012 for two consecutive days, Participants from the 7 Taluks-Puttur, Sullia Belthangady Mangalore City bantwal, Moodabidire, Mangalore Rural of Dakshina Kannada District will gather at Mangala Stadium to participate in the various athletic Events.

            The proposed expenditure for this Athletic Meet is Rs.6,00,000/-(Rs.6Lakhs).  This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, boarding for 2500 participants for tow days, sound, seating arrangements, certificates, medals for the winners, mementoes for the guests, remuneration for the P.E.T. teachers, etc., which has to be borne by the host schools.

            As we all belong to the Dakshina Kannada District, it is a golden opportunity for us to conduct this event in a befitting manner to be recorded in the history of Dakshina Kannada District.

            Contributions may be made in the form of cash of king.  You may sponsor for banners/ other items of expenditure at Mangala Stadium.  The tariff for the banners will be as follows:

Chief Donor: 50,000/- A special banner will be displayed at the main gate.

Rs.25,000/- for a banner of 8”x12”
Rs.15,000/- for a banner of6”x20”
Rs.10,000/- for a banner of4”x8”
Rs. 5,000/- for a banner of 3”x6”
Rs3,000/- for a banner of 1”xc3”
Rs.2, 000/-, Rs.1,000/- and Rs.500/- Names will be displayed on one large banner.
